Filter cartridges
Putsch® offers a large variety of different filter cartridges for any area of application.
Putsch® filter nonwovens are ideally adapted to the universal use in belt filter systems thanks to the special tearing strength – regardless of whether the belt filter systems are operated with gravity, vacuum or pressure.
The filter nonwovens are cut to size on rolls for the respective machine type.
Which filter type is used depends on the customer sample or the operating conditions.
Putsch® has many years of experience and a high level of competence in filtration technology, supporting its customers as a filter nonwoven specialist.
Conventional nonwovens are often used as packaging material or insulants. These nonwovens are often misused for filtration applications, which usually has a negative impact on the results. Putsch® offers only filter nonwovens which are designed for the requirements of liquid purification on belt filter systems.
Selecting the right filter nonwoven is not easy – the variety is enormous, the designations from different manufacturers or dealers are not consistent and sometimes confusing.
Three filter nonwoven types are particularly widespread among the vast number of products on the market:
Polypropylene fibers are thermally melted to form a filter nonwoven. These filter nonwovens are resistant across the entire pH range, keep their shape, are tension resistant and allow low-cost disposal. They are therefore used in most belt filter systems.
Viscose fibers are bonded to form a filter nonwoven with chemical additives. The special temperature resistance and chemical resistance to aromatic compounds and oxidizing agents make these filter cloths suitable for special application conditions.
When it comes to particularly high tearing strength and thermal and chemical resistance, polyester fibers are especially recommended. The fiber filter matrix is created by mechanical turbulence of the polyester fibers with subsequent sintering.
When the filter cloth is removed from the roll, different tensile forces are generated – depending on the belt filter system – to which the fiber filter matrix has to be resistant. Different temperatures and the chemical composition of the liquids also act on the filter nonwoven. For this reason, there is a large range of variations for filter nonwoven types, especially with regard to the different basis weights (grammages). Putsch® therefore offers different fiber alignments, so as not to change the filter matrix despite tension and to keep the filtration action of the Putsch® filter nonwovens constant.
In addition to selecting the fiber material, the nonwoven type, the many grammages and the different fiber alignments, Putsch® offers the filter cloths with different surface textures, which, for example, give the nonwovens more traction, make them washable or give them additional density.
Use the Putsch® filter nonwovens range for your belt filter systems. Compare your filter nonwovens with the quality from Putsch® or use the experience and competence from Putsch® if you are looking for a different or new filter nonwoven because your systems are not working to your satisfaction with the current filter media. We need only a few details and a sample to identify the correct filter nonwoven from the extensive range.
