Putsch® filter paper is primarily a widespread medium in the electroplating industry which is used instead of filter cartridges. Putsch® filter paper is available in 3 different types (thin, thick, activated carbon paper) and in a variety of dimensions. Although there is a vast number of different inner and outer diameters, depending on the manufacturer of the pump or filter chambers, Putsch® supplies over 95 % of all types and all quantities directly from the warehouse in Hagen!
For decades, the raw materials for the filter paper have been made of the best cellulose to manufacture high quality paper.
Before it reaches the electroplating systems for filtering, Putsch® filter paper undergoes strict testing for tearing strength, breaking strength, bending behavior and sheet density following relevant defined test standards.
Putsch® offers three types of filter paper:
The thin filter paper has good traction and the creped design provides a large intake surface. Although it is thin, it does not swell up and retains it disc shape during use.
The thick filter paper does not break. Formation of channels or cracks through chemicals is not possible. Due to the paper thickness, much more dirt is absorbed in the filter matrix, which in turn extends the useful life significantly.
The cellulose for thick filter paper is evenly mixed with activated carbon powder during production and then placed on the paper machine. In addition to the mechanical filtration action for undissolved particles, the activated carbon primarily adsorbs the organically dissolved substances, e.g. unwanted byproducts of bright nickel, which would interfere with the nickel layer without the Putsch® activated carbon filter paper.
Putsch® also offers washable filter discs made of fine and particularly smooth polypropylene fabric. The costs for waste disposal are significantly lower with this regnerable fabric.
The edges are stamped precisely so no cellulose fibers can emerge.
Only original cellulose is used as a raw material, rather than regenerated products, so no foreign fibers or mixed fibers can enter into the filter paper. The paper paste is adapted to the electroplating chemicals and does not interfere with the coating processes in any way.
On request, the technical test parameters are provided to the customers so they can verify the high quality standard at Putsch®.
Depending on the filter chamber, different inner and outer diameters are available for the filter papers.
Putsch® stocks all common filter paper sizes at the central warehouse in Hagen/Germany, so short delivery times can be guaranteed. If custom sizes are required, Putsch® can offer these as well – even at short notice and in small batches!
The size and thickness of the filter papers are designed for all chamber brands and are accordingly compatible.

Putsch® offers a very large selection of string-wound filter cartridges in many sizes, designs, materials and winding patterns.
The filter housings with pump are connected ready for use. Customers only have to insert the appropriate filter media and connect the filtration system to the corresponding lines. Finished!
