Bag housings type “BG” size 1 and size 2
Putsch® bag housings type “BG”, size 1 and size 2, are particularly high quality housings made of rolled stainless steel for standard size 1 and size 2 bag filters.
Putsch® bag housings type “BG-PP” are particularly high quality housings made of chemically inert polypropylene for standard size 1 and size 2 bag filters. These premium housings differ from other common models in many details. Putsch® placed a special focus on durability through precise and robust workmanship.
The bag housings type “BG-PP” consist of a cylinder with cover and support basket and can hold one filter bag. These filter housings are available in two lengths for the corresponding filter bags size 1 or size 2.
The material used is polypropylene which – in contrast to metal – cannot be corroded by salt water or chloride and is therefore durable.
The particularly thick polypropylene plates are shaped into cylinders and welded by hand. Neither cast nor deep-drawn components are used! Al materials are therefore very smooth, not porous and not thin-walled.

The cylindrical pressure vessel contains a support basket holder with a special groove for a sealing ring. Details such as these are a matter of course for Putsch® , but for cost reasons they are not a general market standard.
Another main focus at Putsch® is the sealing technology and the seating of the filter bag – a simple, but very effective sealing and pressure system is located underneath the solid cover. A solid ring with large holes presses the bag down firmly and seals it against the filtered liquid. This prevents dirt bypassing into the filtered liquid. This sealing and pressure system is still unique on the market.
This sealing method allows filter bags of different thicknesses and with different sealing systems to be pressed in precisely and used. Operating companies with high requirements should not be without this sealing and pressure system. The best filter bags are useless if corners are cut in other areas, e.g. if the units do not seal tightly.
The filter basket consists of a perforated cylinder, it is dimensionally stable and has no sharp edges. The filter bag receives the required support and cannot burst, catch on the support basket or tear. The support basket rests on a welded-in ring. This plane ring seals perfectly with an O-ring.
The special welded structure in combination with the thick-walled polypropylene, the smooth surfaces and the clever details, such as the adapted transitions at intake and outlet, is designed for decades of operation – even under tough operating conditions. That is why the bag housings type “BG-PP” have been part of the Putsch® filter range for many decades – quality pays off!
The solid cover is flanged and is closed with convenient hand toggles. The stay bolts are stainless steel and protected against corrosion.
No separate base frame is required for installation because the housing is designed to stand vertically without tipping over. Integration into the respective pipe system usually provides sufficient fixing for the bag housings.
Of course Putsch® can offer suitable feet on request. Parameters such as position, length, etc. are defined by the customers and implemented and supplied by Putsch® , making installation on site accordingly easy.
On request, welded-on fastening plates with holes can be included in the design and manufacturing process.
A polypropylene base plate can also be welded on if this is required for correct floor installation.
The bag housings are designed for the intake and outlet with loose-type flanges DN 80.
The valve on the housing cover can be used to vent the cartridge housing when depressurized. A pressure gage for determining the pre-pressure is also mounted here.
Filter bags size 1 and size 2 from all known manufacturers fit into these bag housings with regard to the diameter and the sealing edge of the filter bag.

The cartridge housings are designed for liquids of group 2 as per PED 2014/68/EC, art. 4, par. (3). Each cartridge housing is supplied with a pressure test certificate and is individually marked for clear identification.
Operating instructions are also provided, containing installation information, a spare parts list and information on maintenance and care.
For comfortable operation of the bag housings, Putsch® offers suitable accessories such as a pressure gage kit, cutoffs or drain cocks as well as valves, etc.
A pressure gage with a T-piece and a vent valve is included.

The flow rate of the liquid depends on the filter cartridges used, the pipe diameters and the operating conditions.
