Bag housings type “BG” size 1 and size 2
Putsch® bag housings type “BG”, size 1 and size 2, are particularly high quality housings made of rolled stainless steel for standard size 1 and size 2 bag filters.
Putsch® bag housings of type “BG”, size 3 and size 4, are designed for filter bags with standard size 3 and size 4 at a flow rate of up to 10 m3 (with viscosity similar to water). They are particularly space-saving and can therefore be integrated into the systems easily. Line builders often use these bag housings as “dirt traps” in liquid circuits in systems to comply with the cleanliness requirements. Where only little dirt has to be filtered out, these convenient bag housings serve as police filters – they engage when dirt gets into the liquid in exceptional cases or they ensure the cleanliness of the systems.
For these bag housings, Putsch® focuses on quality and reliability while maintaining economic efficiency. The small, convenient bag housings are produced in a deep-drawing process, whereby neither function or handling are limited.

The starting material is stainless steel for a wide range of application options. The bag housings consists of a deep-drawn cylinder with cover (turned part) and a support basket (perforated plate) for accommodating a filter bag.
The support basket base inside the cylindrical pressure vessel consists of an edge crimped inwards (bead).
A pressure bow with spring is used to press down and seal the filter bag. The pressure bow itself is pressed down by the cover during closing.
The filter basket itself consists of a deep-drawn perforated plate with a smooth, electropolished surface. It supports the filter bag and prevents bursting. The perforated plate has no sharp edges and the lengthwise seams are flush, so that the filter bags do not snag on the support basket or tear.
The flat cover rests on the crimped edge with a seal.
The locking clamp with a hand toggle is a part under pressure which allows easy and fast opening and closing of the bag housing. A convenient locking clamp provides reliable sealing of the bag housing. These clamps have proven successful in all industries for many decades after they were tested in numerous trials and also had their functionality confirmed by structural calculations.
A separate base frame is not required for these lightweight bag housings. They are supported by a simple pipe clamp on the pipes.
The housings are supplied with 1.5″ internal thread as intake and outlet as a standard. The outlet is welded to the lowest point in the dished end so no socket is required for draining.
The socket on the cover is used for venting. A pressure gage for measuring the pre-pressure can also be screwed in here.
Filter bags size 3 and size 4 from all known manufacturers fit into these bag housings with regard to the diameter and the sealing edge of the filter bag.

The bag housings are pressure vessels in the sense of the relevant regulations and corresponding documentation is available.
